1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Lingro mobile application, website, or associated services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Lingro.

2. About the Service

Lingro is an interactive digital language-learning tool that uses artificial intelligence to provide English conversation practice, roleplay scenarios, vocabulary drills, and automated speech feedback.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age required in your country) to create an account and use Lingro. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Lingro under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

4. User Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable; you may not sell, rent, or share your account access with third parties.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Lingro solely for lawful educational purposes. You must NOT:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or extract source code from the Lingro application.
• Bypass or attempt to circumvent access controls, usage limits, or Premium feature restrictions.
• Use automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to access or extract content from the service.
• Transmit abusive, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, hateful, or unlawful content during voice or text sessions.
• Interfere with, overburden, or disrupt our backend infrastructure or networks.
• Use the service for fraudulent or deceptive activities.

6. AI-Generated Content & Feedback

Lingro uses machine learning and generative artificial intelligence to produce real-time conversational responses, speech transcriptions, and grammar corrections.

Important Notice: AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies, unusual phrasings, or imperfect corrections. AI-provided feedback should be used for conversational learning purposes and should not be treated as certified professional translation, legal, medical, or academic certification advice.

7. Premium Services & Subscriptions

Lingro offers optional Premium plans that grant expanded access to conversation features and scenarios.

• Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, or as a single one-time lifetime purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled by you prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your in-app settings or your payment provider account. You will retain access until the paid period concludes.
• Plan Changes: We reserve the right to adjust plan pricing and feature inclusions upon reasonable advance notice.

8. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed through secure third-party billing providers (such as Razorpay or Google Play Billing). By initiating a transaction, you represent that you are authorized to use the chosen payment method and authorize the processor to charge the stated amount.

9. Refunds and Cancellations

All refund requests and subscription cancellations are handled strictly according to our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

The Lingro application, website, logos, brand assets, user interfaces, illustrations, audio exercises, and software are the exclusive intellectual property of Lingro and its licensors.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Lingro grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on compatible devices for your individual, non-commercial language learning.

11. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep Lingro available and reliable at all times. However, service availability may be temporarily interrupted by scheduled maintenance, network outages, third-party AI service downtime, or unexpected technical issues. We reserve the right to update, modify, or temporarily suspend features as needed.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account access without prior notice if we reasonably determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent behavior, abused AI endpoints, or engaged in unlawful conduct.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lingro and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill resulting from your access to or inability to use the service.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of law.

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, the revised version will be published with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of Lingro after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
